This time I think there are lots of Tory MPs deeply concerned about losing their seats in two years time. They are likely to quickly shift in behind the candidate they think offers the best bet of cutting through to voters. Up until now most have (wrongly in my view) believed that to by Rishi Sunak, but Tugendhat definitely showed the former chancellor up. Ultimately, MPs decide who the final two will be, and if Tugendhat does survive to that stage he wins (Tory members will never choose Sunak for leader, ever. The non-Sunak candidate almost certainly shall win)
Should be very entertaining 👍👍
But then again Tory voters were foolish enough to reject Rory Stewart.
