Good, well-written article.

Slater has zero-grasp of the urgency and realities of living with ongoing hardship; hers is a selfish, punishing approach to individuals and jobs.

Agreed. That she would point blank rule out even considering releasing land earmarked for wilding is breath-taking given the global impacts resulting from the war in the east. And their hatred for fish farming will lead to the destruction of coastal communities the length and breadth of Scotland. It staggers me that the First Minister decided she wanted to bring this lot into power. I still can't fathom what the SNP and Greens even have in common beyond wanting independence.

Slater (and the Greens in general) probably placed as a convenient whipping-boy, for when sturgeon's popularity inevitably wanes, as is taking place now.

That's true. The SNP don't get much from the coalition, but the FM personally might in terms of job security.
