Robinson's Cypriot Luxury: Far-Right Influencers Incite UK Violence

Tommy Robinson (aka Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon) has been spotted lounging in a 5-star Cyprus hotel, as he avoids a current UK arrest warrant.

But the former tanning shop salonista is denying he is on the lam from the law, despite having skipped out on a court appearance. He told LBC a tearful story that “My kids are crying. We come here so I could spend some quality time with them. Now they are scared people are coming here to get them”

I wonder how sympathetic his 15-year-old refugee libel victim feels for Tommy’s 5-star luxury plight? That Huddersfield schoolboy had to face death threats after Tommy ten-names had finished asking his questions. Perhaps not so much sympathy for Mr Yaxley-Lennon will be found from that particular source.

But it does highlight a recurring modus operandi - a method of operating - that Mr Yaxley-Lennon and other far-right social media influence peddlers engage in.

Back in mid-2018 Tommy ten-names almost collapsed the Huddersfield grooming gang trial when insisting on ‘asking his questions’ live streaming outside Leeds Crown Court. Then, as now, Mr Yaxley-Lennon complains he is merely a victim of political correctness.

Didn’t you know he is simply Mr Concerned Citizen asking questions ‘the elites’ don’t want to hear?

Maybe that explains how on May 10 2017, Tommy ten-names was caught filming inside Canterbury Crown Court. That stunt involved him posting prejudicial statements calling the defendants “Muslim child rapists” as the jury was deliberating. He almost derailed that trial too.

Or perhaps - and just go with me on this one - this is less about political correctness, or free speech and far more about a disinformation peddler working a ticket? There is plenty of dosh to be pocketed sadly these days in pushing Islamophobia. It pays better than still working as a tanning salonista. How else can Tommy afford 5-star Cypriot luxury whilst being on the run from the long arm of British law?

Currently Mr Yaxley-Lennon has been very busy on social media as he lounges beneath the Mediterranean sun. After Monday’s horrific attacks Tommy was posting out to his one-million Twitter (no, I’m not calling it ‘X’) that Islam constitutes a mental health issue.

Not content with just that crude bigotry, he has went further encouraging more folk to join the ‘protests’. In one social media post he said “’get there and show your support. People need to rise up.’”

A spokesperson for Hope Not Hate told The Independent that “We know that he was influential in Tuesday’s disturbance in Southport, rioters were chanting Tommy Robinson’s name and “Who the f*** is Allah?” - these are chants regularly heard at far-right demonstrations”

I wonder if the far-right scum who smashed up the citizens advice bureau in Sunderland imagine Tommy ten-names will go visit them in prison? That is assuming he isn’t sharing the jailcell alongside them.

Mind you, the prison estate is running at 99 percent capacity (700 spaces remaining) in the whole of England. So if we consider close to breaking point the prison system currently is, maybe Tommy really will need to share a bunk with the thugs he’s encouraged to “rise up”?

I would suggest Scotland can lend a hand and provide some prison spaces to bang up the far-right scum prowling UK streets for anyone suitably foreign or Muslim looking. But sadly, our prison crisis is even worse. As of 12 June there was 8,294 criminals caged in Scottish prisons. But the Scottish prison system has a target operating capacity of 8,007.

So sorry England, you’ll need to find the space for all those ‘concerned citizens’ who have been rioting. Such as Mr Derek Drummond, 58, of Pool Street, Southport. This criminal just won himself a three year prison sentence.

But Tommy isn’t alone in the online clubhouse for far-right rhetoric. Alongside him is that nerdy guy we all remember from high-school who desperately wanted to be cool. Elon Musk has decided that civil war in the UK is “inevitable”. But not as inevitable as another online shitpost from the shitposter’s shitposter.

And let us not forget far-right boutique inciter Laurence Fox. As he flew out of the UK to Cork he had just enough time to further fan the flames of violence back home. “I cannot believe this traitor,” chuntered Laurence, in response to Sir Keir Starmer statement on the riots. “For decades British girls have been raped by immigrant barbarians and now he’s finally come out. On their side. Fine. Then it’s war.”

Laurence, as with Tommy ten-names and Big Tech Bro Elon will fan the flames whilst promptly ensuring they’re outside of Blighty.

Tommy is sunning in Cyprus, thumbing out social media posts encouraging people to “rise up”. Elon is warning of civil war, and boutique far-rightist Laurence Fox is salivating at said civil war prospects. But the current dog-whistle-blower-in-chief is the new MP for Clacton, Nigel Farage.

Nige decided it was very sensible to record a video of himself suggesting “the truth is being withheld from us”, days after child murders occurred. Naturally Nige has since popped his head back out to appear on LBC to complain about…erm…how much of a victim he is. Apparently inciting all of this crap means once needs greater levels of personal protection. Poor Nigel. The heart bleeds for him.

I’m sure Nigel has friends alongside him on the Commons green-benches in the form of his fellow Reform Party MPs. 30p Lee will nod his head compassionately as Nigel moans about how hard these riots have been on him. Perhaps 30p will chuck in a sympathetic ‘I just want my country back’ before nodding his face back into a Commons-subsidised pint of bitter? I suppose there is always the new Reform MP for South Basildon and East Thurrock, you remember, the one once convicted of assaulting his girlfriend.

Just so long as none of this lot ever come seeking any sympathy from yours truly. My compassion and sympathy is all spent on all those Muslim and migrant families who have been hiding from the pogrom this lot have helped incite.

It isn’t hard to picture the scene: ‘Hide under the bed darling’ whispers the father to the four year old kid. Don’t look out of the window, don’t look on social media. Just lay down and be silent.

Far right scum running their fingers across their throats at asylum seekers glancing - terrified - out of their hotel room window. Sadly not a hypothetical this week in the United Kingdom.

The rioters have been incited by the endless dog-whistles, bullshit ‘when did you stop beating your wife’ questions and incendiary online posts. In one case so much so that they attempted to barricade the escape exists of an asylum-seeker hotel before trying to set it alight.

It reminds me of the fear, hate and anger that I condemned last year as ‘free Palestine’ mobs chanted ‘river to the sea’ at Jewish families leaving their central London synagogue.

Irresponsible rhetoric by people who ought to have known better ended up inciting people to lash out at a minority they perceived as somehow collectively responsible for something someone unrelated did elsewhere.

My own stock of human compassion for the far-right thugs prowling British streets this week are empty. I feel the same disgust for their Islamophobic witch-hunts this week as I did when last year mobs attacked a Jew seen with a Israel flag outside the foreign office.

Let Nigel complain on LBC about how costly his own irresponsible rhetoric has been for his private security costs. I struggle to feel much sympathy. Let Tommy ten-names moan about how persecuted he feels, as he hides from British law in 5-star Cypriot luxury. I feel nothing for him but contempt.

The onus is on all of us to ensure that we do not take the bait from the usual suspects of charlatans who instigate online. This month the victims of the mob-hunts are British Muslims and asylum seekers, last year it was British Jews. But it doesn’t matter who the target is, we’re all at risk if this becomes normalised.

‘I condemn the violence…but…’ drawls Mr and Mrs Concerned Citizen over their breakfast reading the Daily Mail. ‘Immigration is out of control’, and ‘the boats needs stopping’. As if any of that has anything to do with the scenes playing out this week.

What happened was that a British born Christian boy allegedly murdered kids at a dance class. Irresponsible fools such as Laurence ‘boutique far right’ Fox and Tommy ten-names touted nonsense about the alleged perpetrator being a Muslim asylum seeker. All lies of course. Yet somehow ‘concerned citizens’ feel the riots, the criminality and pogroms are all the result of immigration.

Somehow I doubt Mr and Mrs Concerned Citizen whose minds are polluted by the Daily Mail comments section would feel quite the same if the mobs were coming to bang down their front door. Sometimes thugs are merely thugs out to bash the heads of people who are different from them.

Break the law, feel the consequences. That’s the only standard if society is to survive. Apply the law equally, without fear or favour. Lock these rioting domestic terrorists up.

Sadly, the Pied Pipers of the current mayhem will undoubtedly continue to evade their own responsibilities. Nigel will continue his self-promotion aided by a Commons seat. Laurence Fox will relish the attention his incendiary statements generate with alternative alt-right media.

At least Tommy Robinson will inevitably have to face his arrest warrant he’s evading in 5-star luxury. There is that, but such schadenfreude likely isn’t for everyone.
