A riposte worthy of the daily express. We know that Westminster austerity, which seems to be ok if it's labour austerity, directly impacts our budget. So past spending mistakes decisions are irrelevant. In any case, I think spending errors in Scotland compared rather favourably with mistakes made at WM.

Past spending mistakes undermine SNP claims that they can't afford mitigation via the devolved benefit context .

How much mitigation can they afford? I don't think there should be any. Let's ditch bedroom tax mitigation, free tuition etc .. because we know that the function of a devolved parliament designed in the new labour era, is simply to devolved responsibility and not power. How can you consider your self a serious commentator when you can't acknowledge that the 22billion labour admit that they need to cut.. will impact on Scotgov spending?
